Competing for fewer customers in the marketplace means business marketing needs to work harder - But it can also work a lot smarter to attract the attention of consumers ready to spend
Allcorp are fortunate enough to operate in a business-to-business capacity. We don’t deal with the public sector, we only work with businesses. Hence, because we’ve been in business for almost 25 years, we’ve built up a great client base made up of thousands of businesses.
This gives us an insight into how well various industries are performing and which are struggling. Based on what we can see from 2024, times are certainly tougher to what we’re all accustomed. Throw in the dreaded short weeks with the public-holiday-greedy country in which we live and it looks like a complete mess.
While there are still spending consumers out there, there are less than before and in order to attract their attention the marketing train needs to keep chugging along, or even speed up. It’s a simple supply and demand issue as there are less customers that everyone is fighting over.
While we understand that some businesses may be in a situation where they don’t have the budget to keep marketing, there are other ways successful marketing can be achieved on a limited spend. Now is the time for every business to evaluate their advertising expenses; where they are spending money and where things can be improved in order to keep getting the word out.
For example, we’ve seen some businesses are spending thousands of dollars each month on social media marketing. That’s way too expensive for such a simple form of marketing as Allcorp clients are enjoying non-contractual social media management on their Instagram and Facebook pages for as little as $110 per month.
Google Ads is very effective, as many of our clients who utilise our expertise to manage this on their behalf will attest, but the cost per click rates for some industries is getting very expensive. However there’s a new Google product leading the charge and that’s YouTube advertising. YouTube campaigns run by Allcorp attract views on targeted demographics for as low as 1 cent.
Rather than stopping or reducing your advertising and marketing in a slowing economy, speed it up with a smarter method. If you want to talk about how you can effectively market your business and attract the thinning customers and clients that are out there, talk to Tiffany or Peter at Allcorp today. There is no team more experienced to look after this crucial area of your business and we’ve steered our growing client base through tough times in the past 24 years with success.

An impressive effort for our production team for the first quarter of 2024 sees 28 new website and digital marketing projects completed
Welcome to our April Newsletter, it’s a bit early, but we’ll get to the reason why soon. Firstly, what an amazing first quarter of 2024 we had. With 28 projects completed, it has kept our production studio team very busy, and we’ve been able to launch some impressive website designs, videography and photography projects and some great marketing services through social media channels, Google Ads and YouTube Ads.
When it comes to digital marketing services, no other local agency completes such a volume of projects and we’re honoured that the business owners of Cairns, Townsville & Hervey Bay, and increasingly more and more, Australia-wide, are choosing to have their websites and all associated digital marketing products designed and managed by us.
We’ve definitely developed quite the reputation as being leaders in our field and when we hear the successes our clients have had as a direct result of the efforts we’ve put into preparing their digital marketing, it certainly brings us joy.
The results we bring are why so many clients have been using our services for so many years, with some being with us since the very beginning back in the year 2000, 24 years ago.
Our production team have performed so well this year (and every year!) that they’ve earned a well deserved break to go and recharge, unwind and refresh the creative talent for which they are so renowned. So, they’re off to Japan for a few weeks and will be back at their production desks on April 10th.
We’ve left one production assistant behind to look after client needs during this time, but new production will stop now until the whole team is back, all under one roof. The sales and administration team are still on deck to look after any inquiries.
Until then, thank you to all the business owners who have supported us through 2024 and we’re looking forward to many more class leading digital marketing projects to come from the Allcorp studio throughout April.

When was the last time 1 cent gave anything of value?
With YouTube ads we’ve seen some amazing results and statistics
Allcorp introduced our client base and the region to YouTube ads last year and in that time we’ve been running over 50 client YouTube Ads campaigns. These campaigns all vary in their budget and reach, but the big common theme across all of these professionally run marketing campaigns is that we’re getting views at an average between 1 and 3 cents.
The way YouTube Ads work is we run what’s called skippable in-stream ads. These are usually a 30 second video advertisement which will play when triggered by a user. The user then has to watch the first 5 seconds of the advertisement before they can skip it.
With skippable in-stream ads we can also target the geographic regions we want the ads to appear, for example, we can run ads only to YouTube users in Cairns, or North Queensland, or anywhere else. We can also assign what gender we want to see the ads, what age group, whether they are parents or not and even what income demographic they are in.
With this style of YouTube advertising we really need to ensure the first 5 seconds of our video products capture enough attention to either be memorable or intriguing enough to make people want to watch the entire video. Of course, most people skip the ads as soon as they are able to, but with the value of the cost per view, we can run ads repetitively so we get a lot more saturation than we would with Google Ads.
Many of our clients run both Google Ads and YouTube Ads with us because they are 2 very different forms of marketing. With Google Ads, we’re trying to attract people who have already made a decision to buy or engage services. These people are looking for something specific and we make our clients’ ads in Google Search appear to these people. This also is a much more qualified customer as they are actively looking for our clients’ services or products.
With YouTube Ads, think of it as the new way of advertising on television. This is getting your brand and message out to as many people as possible, and at 1 cent a view we can reach thousands. Think of YouTube as a more brand awareness marketing campaign.
With our reporting over the last year we’ve also seen a significant increase in the amount of users who are viewing the advertisements on their televisions. With Google Ads we get a breakdown about what device people viewed ads on, but with YouTube we get the same desktop, tablet and mobile statistics with a new television column added. It’s great to see that people are absorbing a lot of YouTube content on their televisions in their living rooms with the ratio being a 80% share of all activity.
If you want to talk about how we can market your business on the YouTube network give us a call today. As the most experienced Google Partner in the entire North Queensland region there is no one more qualified to launch your business with a YouTube marketing campaign.

Wrapping up January with 9 new projects completed
It's looking like it'll be a very busy year
It's hard to believe we're in February already, but such is the curse of being busy, time tends to fly by. We were able to put the finishing touches on 9 digital marketing products in January. Mostly website design projects, naturally, but also some other areas of our expertise such as YouTube marketing and videography.
We love what we do and this is the main reason why we’ve been doing it for 24 years, which is much longer than most agencies Australia wide and two years after the inception of Google. As we complete so many projects each year, we’re also continuing to learn more about our medium and ensuring our clients remain well informed about new digital marketing products and exceed expectations.
We also want to be as transparent as possible with what we are doing for our clients and how we're doing it. Certainly we don't bore our clients with jargon or talk in code to them, but we do use broad strokes to explain how things work and the processes we use.
Based on our knowledge and experience of our industry we also give clients a lot of advice. This advice isn't just made up to suit our agenda, it's advice that is based on a foundation of merit. Clients can choose to listen to our advice or not, some even question it, but fundamentally we're trying to achieve their goals to the best of our abilities.
We also back up the advice we give by showing examples of the projects we work on with case studies that explain what we've done and how it was achieved. This means that our projects can also be peer scrutinised at any time which only gives more credibility to our advice given.
Regardless, listen to what we say or not. Just be wise and weigh up any conflicting advice by checking the credibility of the source and how much they actually achieve in the industry on which they are advising.

And... we're back! - Looking forward to working with our new and existing clients through 2024 - Our 24th year!
We'd like to wish everyone a happy new year and say welcome back to those of our clients who have enjoyed a little break over the holiday season. We hope you all got to spend some quality time with your family and friends.
2024 is set to be an exciting year for Allcorp as all of our new products that we launched last year, such as our expanded graphic design team and our new videography and YouTube marketing services, have really been accepted well.
Now, more than ever before, advertising is moving into a digital environment more and more and these new marketing landscapes provide exciting new ways to, ultimately, send a person to your website. The website really is the most important step in any marketing campaign as everything directs people to the website. If the website is a poorly designed and slow to load template website, the conversion rate will be very low.
Your website needs to be memorable, custom designed and have the right content to both hold the attention of Google and your target audience if it is to succeed. Fortunately, now in our 24th year in business and 100% owned and operated in Cairns & Townsville, businesses in North Queensland have the opportunity to work with one of the most experienced website design agencies in Australia without having to reach out to providers in the metropolitan areas. In fact, we are more experienced than even many of the bigger ad agencies operating in Sydney and Melbourne.
While we will continue to add more valuable marketing services to our repertoire as they become available, we will continue to focus on where it all begins: the website.
We all hope that we can continue to develop relationships with our existing client base along with working on new and exciting projects with clients from all over the world.
Thanks for your support and here's to a prosperous 2024!
Bril, Peter, Sherene, Tiffany, Steve, Dave and Lisa.
All of these projects have been managed from start to finish by our local team. At Allcorp we are the local choice for professional website design.
